That’s why we back every NSC saddle with a robust warranty, giving you peace of mind that we stand behind our products.

What’s Covered by Your Warranty?

  • 5-Year Tree Warranty
    Your saddle’s tree is covered for five years. This critical structural component is designed to withstand the rigors of regular use, and we’re committed to ensuring it performs as expected for years to come.
  • 1-Year Warranty on Materials & Workmanship
    All new NSC saddles come with a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. This ensures that any issues due to craftsmanship or components will be promptly addressed. Please note, this warranty applies only to the original purchaser.

Regular Care to Protect Your Warranty

To maintain your warranty and ensure your saddle remains in optimal condition, we recommend the following:

  • ‘Break-in’ Check
    It’s essential to have your saddle checked and rebalanced by an appropriately experienced and qualified professional within the first four months of use. This ensures your saddle continues to fit perfectly and perform at its best. If you need recommendations for a qualified professional, please feel free to contact us. Early attention to minor issues can prevent bigger problems down the road.
  • Ongoing Maintenance
    Regular servicing is essential to the longevity of your saddle. Just like a car, your saddle needs periodic checks to maintain its comfort, performance, and safety. We recommend having your saddle inspected and serviced every 6 to 12 months, depending on the changes in your horse’s shape and level of activity.

What’s Not Covered?

  • Wear & Tear
    Saddles are built to last, but like all leather products, they will naturally show some wear over time, especially under frequent use.   • Accidental DamageAccidents happen! We are here to help with repairs, replacements, and quotes for insurance claims, but accidental damage is not covered under your NSC Warranty
  • Repairs & Alterations
    Any repairs or alterations made by someone who is not an appropriately experienced and qualified professional may void your warranty. For the best results, always consult an NSC-approved fitter or saddler for any adjustments or repairs.
  • Storage & Misuse
    Proper storage is essential. Avoid storing your saddle in hot, direct sunlight or exposing it to extreme conditions. Using improper saddle racks that put pressure on the panels can also cause damage. We recommend using a central support saddle rack for best care. Storing your saddle incorrectly can affect its performance and may void your warranty.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your saddle has an issue covered by the warranty, please contact us if you purchased directly from NSC, or the retailer or professional from whom you bought the saddle. They will assist you with the next steps, including returning the saddle if necessary.

The process for making a warranty claim includes:

  1. Contacting us or the retailer where you made your purchase.
  2. Providing proof of purchase and a description of the issue.
  3. Shipping the saddle to be inspected (if required).
  4. Providing service records or fitting notes (if available) to help us better understand the saddle’s history and the issue.
  5. Allowing up to 15 working days for review and claim resolution.

Any accepted warranty claim may result in a repair, replacement, or refund, at NSC’s discretion.

  • Statutory Rights: This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under New Zealand law.
  • Non-Transferable: The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
  • Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or neglect.
