The Prima has been an established part of the NSC range for more than fifteen years. During that time it was marketed under the Farrington Prima name, developed in partnership with the original Farrington team whose craftsmanship was highly regarded. With Farrington now under new ownership with a new team of saddle makers, this model continues to be made as the NSC Prima. Riders can be assured it is the same trusted design, produced to the same high standards, that has earned its reputation as a firm favourite in New Zealand.

With a tree shape designed for horses with a medium curve to an A frame profile, and withers of a medium height and longer length, its generous panel shape allows for custom flocking to ensure a sympathetic fit. With shorter panels and an open seat, it is also a good choice for horses with short backs and for taller riders who need more room in the seat. Designed to give a forward balanced feel, it keeps you secure to, over, and away from fences while allowing the freedom to follow your horse’s movement.

For full peace of mind, we offer a 7-day return period* after your online purchase or following an in-person test ride with one of our trusted NSC retailers. This gives you the opportunity to see how the saddle feels during your regular riding, ensuring it’s a great fit for both you and your horse.

Easy Returns

If you decide that your saddle isn’t quite right, don’t worry! Simply get in touch within 7 days of your purchase of an in-stock saddle, and we’ll guide you through the return process. Our goal is to make sure you’re completely satisfied with your saddle.

Trade-in Program

Not sure what to do with your old saddle, or need to sell it before you can buy new? We’ve got you covered with our trade-in programme. You can trade your qualifying current saddle in for a new NSC saddle, or we can help with the valuation so you can sell it privately for it’s full value. Our goal is to make things as easy as possible for you to get in a new saddle that fits your needs.
